FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions worth asking before you hand over your books.
Straight answers. If yours is not here, email us and we will answer it properly.
Where are you based?
Fynalyse is a distributed firm. Our team works across Europe and South Asia, and we serve clients in four countries. All engagements run remotely unless you would rather meet in person, which we are happy to arrange.
Do you work remotely?
Yes — remote is how we work by default. Documents move over an encrypted portal, reviews happen on video, and month-end runs to a fixed schedule regardless of timezone. Nothing about the work requires us to be in your office.
What accounting software do you support?
We work in Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Zoho Books, NetSuite and FreshBooks, and we can read exports from most other systems. If you are on something unusual, send us a sample export and we will tell you honestly whether we can work with it.
Is my financial data secure?
Documents are shared over encrypted links, stored in access-controlled cloud storage, and never emailed as attachments. Access is limited to the people on your engagement. We can also work inside your own systems if you would prefer nothing leaves your environment.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, before we look at anything. We will sign yours, or send ours if you do not have one. Confidentiality applies to every engagement whether an NDA is in place or not.
How quickly can you start?
The $250 Financial Health Check turns around in five business days from the point we receive your figures. Ongoing engagements usually begin within two weeks, depending on the state of your records.
What happens after the Health Check?
You get a written diagnostic and a 30-minute debrief. From there it is your call — there is no obligation to continue. If you do take on follow-on work, the $250 is credited back in full against your first invoice.
Do you replace our accountant or work alongside them?
Either. Some clients hand us the whole finance function; others keep their existing accountant for statutory filings and bring us in for reporting, forecasting and automation. We will tell you which makes more sense for your situation.
What size of business do you work with?
Most of our clients are between five and a hundred staff — large enough that finance has become a real workload, small enough that a full-time CFO is not yet justified.
Can you help if our books are a mess?
That is often exactly why people call. We start by establishing what is actually true, clean up from there, and tell you upfront how much remediation work is involved before you commit to anything.
